Nuclear Accident

The worst nuclear disaster in history happened at Chernobyl of the Ukrain. Much radiation was leaked into the environment causing the surrounding villlages and towns to evacuate, as many are still today. Hundreds were killed directly from the toxic radiation and those who survived have the risk of developing further illnesses. Worst of all, many children were exposed to the toxic levels of radiationn and will continue to grow with the fear of diseases such as cancer, lukemia, and anemia and the unknown. So why is it that this accident happened? The only answer to that is human error.
